Robert Parsons

Principal, Creative Direction + Design

Robert is an award-winning creative director with a background in magazine design and branding, having overseen Boston magazine for nearly a decade and relaunched its sister publications (Home, Weddings, Travel) before overhauling Northshore magazine, now a regional standout. He’s also toiled in the art departments of Natural Health, The Atlantic, Cook’s Illustrated, Ocean Home, and the little-known but cult-worshipped music mag Lollipop. He thrives on making order out of moving parts, thinks big picture, and approaches branding with an eye for beauty. He keeps a very neat desk. You can call him Bob.

Alyssa Giacobbe

Editorial Direction + Copywriting

Alyssa has spent more than 20 years in consumer magazine publishing, working at such magazines as ELLE, Teen Vogue, and Boston, where she served as Style Director. As a journalist, she writes about everything from lifestyle to crime, drinking while pregnant to the Kim Kardashian effect, for publications like Architectural Digest, Entrepreneur, Condé Nast Traveler, and more, and ghostwrites for private clients in the fields of fashion, beauty, entertainment, and psychology. While in content strategy at Hill, Holliday, she helped make insurance fun. Her father once called her distractible; she prefers to think of it as ‘well-rounded.’

Paul Thompson

Technology + Development

Paul’s been making websites run smoothly—programming creatively, working out the kinks—since 2000 as a software engineer and technical lead for major advertising agencies like Mullen and Digitas and content delivery network Akamai Technologies. He’s everything technology should be, but often isn’t—consistent, reliable, straightforward—which is why companies like Stop & Shop, Timberland, General Motors, and the Department of Defense have trusted him to get their URLs up and running and keep them that way. His favorite movie of all time is Jersey Shore Shark Attack.

Blaine Zuckerman

Brand Strategy + Marketing

Blaine’s first marketing gig was on the beach, connecting ‘90s juggernaut Baywatch with commercial brands. His studies in the language of Hollywood landed him at casting and public relations firm Starworks, advising brands such as John Varvatos and The Heart Truth. He has led both editorial and publishing initiatives for the print and digital versions of Teen Vogue, Glamour, People, and InStyle, and as the West Coast Director for image licensing company Trunk Archive connected Hollywood with editorial and consumer brands globally. He has a rescue dog named BK who loves hotel bars.
